This article is the second part of an analysis of the relationship among study training format, veterinarian learning styles, and investigator performance during clinical trials. Denni O. Day, founder, President, and CEO of VetPharm, Inc., describes the three study training methods (webinar, on-site, and centralized), giving the benefits and shortcomings of each. Regardless of the study training method selected by a sponsor, the author suggests including varied presentation and teaching techniques to appeal to the different learning styles of the individual attendees. Denni also recommends testing for understanding and retention of the key elements of the protocol and other study requirements.
