Boehringer Ingelheim partners with Constantia Flexibles to provide augmented reality packaging experience

  • The packaging of Nutraxin, a nutritional supplement for horses, is now equipped with augmented reality and interactive features
  • This partnership reaffirms Boehringer Ingelheim’s continuous focus on providing innovative solutions to its customers

Ingelheim, Germany, 4 June 2019  – Boehringer Ingelheim has partnered with Constantia Flexibles to provide veterinarians and horse owners with Constantia Interactive, an innovative packaging solution which enhances the Nutraxin packaging with augmented reality features. This packaging solution is currently available in Germany and the Netherlands; a rollout to further markets is planned in the coming months.

Constantia Interactive provides horse owners with direct access to a dedicated Nutraxin app. Using the integrated diary, they can add details about the horse’s physical condition and easily monitor the horse’s weight. Additionally, tips for proper nutrition can be called up via the app which integrates links to further information. The ingredients of Nutraxin are also listed clearly and in detail.

“With Constantia Flexibles’ interactive packaging, we can offer our customers an outstanding additional service. This app will allow the veterinarian as well as the owner to easily track the horse’s weight and to keep an eye on the nutritional status of the horse,” says Ulrike Voigt, Global Brand Manager for Nutraxin at Boehringer Ingelheim.

Pierre-Henri Bruchon, EVP Pharma Division at Constantia Flexibles, adds: “This is a great new project with our long-term partner Boehringer Ingelheim. Constantia Interactive has added value, bringing Boehringer Ingelheim even closer to the end consumer.”

With this partnership, Boehringer Ingelheim reaffirms its ongoing focus on providing innovative solutions to its customers.
