Rabies is the oldest known infectious disease and has plagued humans for more than 4000 years. A global plan ‘Zero by 30’ to end human deaths from dog-transmitted rabies by 2030 was launched on 28th September 2018, World Rabies Day, by OIE, WHO, FAO and GARC (Global Alliance of Rabies Control).
