In terms of market capitalisation, the animal health market
is valued at a mere 0.3 per cent of the human healthcare
market. Investment and advances in human medical
innovation have outpaced veterinary medicine for decades.

capture the value of collaborative projects that fall within a
‘One Health’ agenda which ultimately benefit human
health. This article written by Lloyd Reeve-Johnson,
Professor of One Health, will outline some of the core
areas where One Health approaches add significant value
to human wellbeing.
