On October 21, 2017, Health Canada publicly released its Fee Proposal for Drugs and Medical Devices. The Service Fee Act was introduced as part of an Omnibus Budget 2017 Bill and in the Canadian Animal Health Institute’s opinion did not get the scrutiny it needed, particularly as it relates to public/private good and competitiveness.
