In the last decade, Electronic Data Capture (EDC) has become an attractive and convenient alternative to conventional paper-based methods of data collection in clinical studies. A variety of different EDC solutions is available on the market, each providing its own features. To take full advantage of the features and options EDC systems offer, it requires experienced data managers and thorough planning of studies.
